It is designed so that the doors on the barn open and display straw. The window at the top of the barn also opens and has straw and a hen sitting on a nest. Don't hesitate -- we have received LOTS of requests for this kit and the response has been overwhelming. In fact, we sold the original sample before the kit was even available! All mats for the two page layout are pre-cut and ready to assemble with the easy-to-follow instructions. Each kit contains a full color picture of the layout so that you can look at it while assembling the kit.
